Extractions
When a tooth does need to come out, it is done gently - and only after every alternative has been discussed.
Losing a tooth affects chewing, jaw comfort, and the alignment of the teeth around it, so extraction is never our first suggestion. When it is the right choice, the area is fully numbed; you will feel pressure - the careful rocking that widens the socket - but not pain. If anything hurts at any moment, tell us and we stop. Before you leave, we will have discussed how to replace the tooth and protect your bite.
What to expect
- Alternatives and replacement discussed first
- Complete numbing - pressure, not pain
- A clear aftercare plan
